With the recent changes to Facebook’s news feed algorithm, you’re probably wondering what it does and how it could be affecting your posts. If you’re having trouble being seen by your fans, we can help! Here’s what you need to know about setting reach so that new followers are able to see your posts.
Users may create a personal profile, add other users as friends, view the profiles of those they are not friends with, or manage their privacy settings.
Facebook has been criticized for its lack of transparency around how user data is accessed and used. In addition, some users have expressed concern about the effects on user privacy when third party Facebook apps are used (such as by advertisers).
You can choose whether to make your post public or private by clicking either toggle button next to Public or Private. The default setting is Public, which means anyone who sees a post will be able to see it. If you change this setting to Private, only people who are connected to you will be able to see it—and only when they like your page or follow you!
If you want to share posts with only some people but not others, you can also set individual permissions for each person on your list by clicking on their name in the left-hand column and selecting Add Permissions from the drop-down menu that appears next.
Reach Settings
Before you can change the reach setting, you need to be logged in. If you’re not already logged in, you’ll be asked to login.
The default reach setting is 100%. You can change this to whatever number you want by using the slider at the top of the page.
You can change the reach of your Facebook posts in the settings page.
The reach setting determines how far your posts are visible to your followers and how many people will see them. You can choose to make the post only viewable by friends or family, or you can make it viewable by everyone.
